In this workshop Qian will teach you the fundamentals of throwing with porcelain. These will be broken down and taught with multiple demonstrations and one-to-one guidance including covering clay preparation, throwing, and details about turning, drying, and other making process that need to be considered when using porcelain.

Using a vibrant selection of ribbons, sequins, pins, and beads, Mairi will teach you step-by-step through the process of transforming a simple polystyrene shape into a unique and sparkling decoration. Throughout the workshop, you will learn how to layer trims, add embellishments, and design your own colour combinations, giving you the confidence to continue making at home.

Hosted by Friends in support of Ampney Crucis Primary School, Workshop includes all materials, live demonstration with trained florist and refreshments

Over the course of the day, you will learn how to trap shells, buttons, plastic rings, beads, and string between two pieces of calico fabric stretched over an embroidery hoop. As part of creating this piece, you will be introduced to a variety of hand stitches.

Have an evening of mulled wine, nibbles and wreath making.
